In Asia the tulp still grows wild, Melani Deegen traveling by bicycle from Holland to Kyrgyzstan is making the journey of the tulip back to his origin. The tapestry of east and west is always a good story. As a country that thinks, lives, breathes and loves the bicycle lifestyle we can’t wait to weave our route making skills in the fairytail country Uzbekistan. Were Rumi and many Sufi scholars have studied. The Rumi Trail is the big dream route that is now getting an official kick off, thanks to the embassy of Uzbekistan in Brussels especially with the help of Mr. Ambassador Dilyor Khakimov and First Secretary Babur Sabirov. The Startpoint of the route is in Nukus and via the blue wonders of Khiva, Bukhara and Samarkand we will map a bicycle route to Termez.
