PA166 - Apex Microtechnology and TOP-electronics
Dual channel, multi-purpose power amplifier IC - Apex Microtechnology

Designed with power density in mind, the PA166 comes equipped with a pair of high voltage MOSFET operational amplifiers with monolithic cores.

In a surface mount package and with a body of just 20 x 20mm, each channel is designed for operation up to 205V while providing 1A of continuous current.

Internal PCB layout features exceptional channel separation of 80dB, while optional separate supplies for the amplifier core and output stage allow for optimized voltage swing with an overall power dissipation of 28W.

The PA166 comes equipped with several safety features for system protection, including temperature compensated current limit, an over-current flag, and an output disable function.

To support rapid prototyping and device evaluation, Apex offers the EK87 evaluation kit.

FCS850R is a series of high-performance Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.0 modules featuring 2T2R in an LCC package. It can be used to establish WLAN and Bluetooth connections, providing a maximum data rate up to 866.7Mbps.

With an ultra-compact size of 15 x 13 × 2.3mm (L x W x H), the module optimizes the size and cost for end-products, which fully meets the demands of size-sensitive applications.

What is Wi-Fi HaLow and why choose it for IoT

Wi-Fi HaLow is more than just another iteration of the classic Wi-Fi standard that is now seeing the introduction of high-capacity variants, such as WiGig and Wi-Fi 6E.

Instead, Wi-Fi HaLow introduces a low power connectivity option that, in contrast to other Wi-Fi options, offers greater range of approximately 1km. This opens up a raft of IoT use cases, especially for small campus-based deployments such as academic and research institutions, industrial sites and offices.

In addition, a wide range of industrial, smart city and smart building and agricultural applications can be supported.

The FGH100M is a long-range, low-power Wi-Fi HaLow module compliant with IEEE 802.11ah standard. It operates in 850–950MHz bands with 1/2/4/8MHz channel width and features 21dBm maximum output power and 32.5Mbps theoretical maximum transmission rate.

Wi-Fi HaLow is an open standard Wi-Fi technology operating in the license-exempt Sub-1GHz range, designed to meet unique IoT requirements, thereby expanding smart home or smart city networks with its Sub-1GHz signal coverage, allowing users to control IoT devices in a radius of 1km.

200W compact open frame AC/DC switching power supply - FSP Group

FSP group has released a new 200W compact open frame AC/DC switching power supply, targeting PoE (Power over Ethernet) applications.

FSP200-2H35-A54H has a universal input range of 90 to 264 VAC, with build in PFC function. It can deliver up to 200 watts of continuous power under 7 CFM conditions and wide -20℃~+70℃ operation temperature. Power is delivered through dual isolated 54V / up to 3A  & 12V / up to 5A outputs, with outstanding 91% power efficiency (230Vac) .

The PSU is Class-I design, with 1.5kVac isolation between the Protect Earth safety construction and Return. This makes it an ideal choice for PoE networking applications.

FSP200-2H35-A54H is housed in a compact 3" x 5" x 1.18" (above PCB) and suitable for 1U chassis. It supports OCP, OTP, OVP and OPP circuit protection, surge protection ±2 KV diff., ±4 KV com and comply with IEC 62368-1 safety standard. EMC wise, it meets EN 55032 and FCC Class B.

New spread spectrum oscillator offers low-EMI drop-in replacement - EuroQuartz

Euroquartz has a new spread spectrum oscillator. Offering customers a drop-in replacement for standard clock oscillators with a reduction in electromagnetic interference (EMI) by as much as 12dB.

The most efficient method to reduce EMI is to suppress it at the source and Euroquartz’s new EQHM22 does exactly that. Compared with conventional clock oscillators, spread spectrum (dithered) oscillators can reduce EMI by up to 12dB and the parts are drop-in replacements for standard components. So there is no requirement to redesign existing PCBs.

Offering a choice of modulation rates and spreads, these new devices offer frequencies from 16 to 40MHz in a miniature surface mount package measuring 2.5 x 2.0 x 0.9mm.

Frequency stability is available as low as ±25ppm in both commercial (0 to 70°C) and industrial (-40 to +85°C) grades with available input voltages of 1.8, 2.5 and 3.3V DC, all ±10%. Output logic is CMOS with a load capability of 15pF.
