LTE EG950A series from Quectel at TOP-electronics
LTE Cat 4 module optimized for M2M and IoT applications - Quectel

The EG950A-ENL benefits from global LTE coverage with multiple-input-multiple-output (MIMO) technology meeting smart metering project needs for data rate and reliability.

In addition, the long lifespan of smart meters, which can extend to more than a decade, is supported thanks to the modules’ firmware upgrade over-the-air (FOTA) capability.

Support for LTE 450, which utilizes the 450MHz frequency band to provide an energy-efficient long-range alternative to 2G and 3G, is an appealing capability for the smart meter sector.

LTE is ideal for less data intensive applications and therefore well-suited for enabling smart meter connectivity, while offerings service providers a way to provide long range coverage over large areas cost effectively. LTE 410 will also be adopted because it offers the same benefits to smart meter deployments as LTE 450.

The EG950A-ENL supports the Europe, APAC, Australia, New Zealand and Latin America regions.

In addition to smart meter applications, the Quectel EG950A-ENL is applicable to use cases such as customer premise equipment and gateways.

4.3” IPS TFT display modules - Raystar

The RFE430W-AWW-SNN and RFE430W-AWH-SNN are 4.3” IPS TFT display modules that feature a 4-line data QSPI interface, enabling data transmission speeds up to four times faster than standard SPI.

Both modules offer a resolution of 480×272 dots and utilize IPS technology to provide wide viewing angles (80/80/80/80 degrees) and a contrast ratio of 800:1.

They differ in brightness: 500 cd/m² for the RFE430W-AWW-SNN and a high brightness 1000 cd/m² for the RFE430W-AWH-SNN model

The RFE430W-AWW-SNN is suitable for industrial control systems, instrumentation, and gaming-related products. In contrast, the RFE430W-AWH-SNN is ideally suited for outdoor equipment, handheld devices, and card reader/access control systems.

Both modules are equipped with the NV3041A-01 driver IC and support a wide operating temperature range of -30 to +80°C, ensuring stable performance across various application environments.

Wi-Fi 6 & Bluetooth 5.3 module for high-performance short-range connectivity - Quectel

Utilizing the 2.4GHz and 5GHz Wi-Fi frequency bands, the FCM363X boasts a high-performance ARM Cotex-M33 processor clocked up to 260MHz and features built-in 1.2MB SDRAM and 8MB flash memory. PSRAM is also supported with an optional expansion to enable more complex applications.

The module is designed with multi-layered security features, ensuring robust protection for embedded systems. It integrates EdgeLock® Secure Enclave (Core Profile), enabling secure boot with a hardware root of trust, secure lifecycle management, and firmware update protection, while restricting unauthorized debug access.

For enhanced system security, Arm® TrustZone® technology creates an isolated execution environment, safeguarding critical operations. The module also supports hardware cryptography, encrypted flash storage, and secure key management mechanisms to further strengthen data protection.

Finally, to ensure secure wireless communication, the module implements WPA2/WPA3 authentication, Wi-Fi enterprise security, TLS encryption, HTTPS, and Bluetooth LE secure connections, delivering end-to-end security across connected applications.

Ideal for deployments of devices with long lifecycles in smart home or industrial IoT scenarios, the Quectel FCM363X supports GPIO, SDIO, USB, UART, SPI, I2C, I2S, ADC, LCD and PWM interfaces in the QuecOpen solution.
