Conincx Pop festival - 41st edition Conincx Pop might very well be the oldest free boutique festival in The Netherlands. The first edition was in 1983. Conincx Pop presents an eclectic mix of excellent artists from all over the world to its audience. Paperclip Agency is proud and honoured to be the exclusive talent buyer for Conincx Pop since 2003. This year the line-up, by chance with a lot of acts from the Benelux, is: Ruby Mus (NLD), Library Card (NLD), Gros Coeur (BEL), Robbert Duijf Band (NLD), Vive la Fête (BEL), MESSA (ITA), and NAFT (BEL). Dub Pistols release new single Dub Pistols are one of the best British live-acts, still. They have just released their first single " Ska Train" off their upcoming album " Enter the Sound". 10cc's Graham Gouldman - honour & cricket 10cc's Graham Gouldman learned last week that King Charles has honoured him, with an MBE (Member of the British Empire). On a lighter note, Gouldman recently attended a cricket match for the first time in his life. But did he love it? 10cc will play ten shows in The Netherlands this November. Four of these are already completely Sold Out. Sachal Vasandani in Europe in December Some say Sachal Vasandani brings Frank Sinatra and The Meters together. But that does not paint the full picture. Sachal is a jazz musician, and a bit of a crooner, with a lot of heart & soul. See below for the available dates.

All work and ... lots of music
Over the last few years, my energy levels slowly but gradually waned. It's maybe fair to say that by the end of 2024, I had about 30% less energy than a few years earlier.
My partner in life & crime Hilde Spille compensated for this by working harder.
Early this year the cause for my condition was found, and the remedy as well!
My energy levels are now back to the high levels where they were several years ago.
And now Hilde finally feels the need to recuperate. No wonder. We do not yet know when she will be able to take on her tasks again.
I am now dealing with a double workload, since early May, but can cope with it really well.
Music helps, of course. Music heals and supports, and discovering new acts is also very stimulating.
A recently published scientific study even shows that live music makes us happier than kissing or sex!

Minimal Compact (ISR) website, wiki, bandcamp, facebook, spotify Formed in Amsterdam in 1980, Minimal Compact were part of the original post-punk explosion – and remain one of its most distinctive voices. The band developed a unique mix of propulsive rhythms, spacious bass lines, rich keyboard textures, mesmeric guitar lines, and vocal melodies with a Middle-Eastern inflection. They sounded like nothing that had gone before. Well-known releases include the album 'Deadly Weapons' (with club-hit ‘Next One Is Real’) and 'Raging Souls'. Minimal Compact have now reconvened, together with producer and long-time collaborator Colin Newman (of post-punk legends Wire), to record part of their material in the best possible way, with a brand-new song as a bonus.
